The service life of a forged wheel

To keep the wheel beautiful, in addition to being extra careful to prevent accidental damage to the wheel hub during driving, you should also regularly maintain and service the wheel. If you have time, you should thoroughly clean it once a week. Wash away the sand attached to the wheel surface and the dirt that can easily damage the wheel. Otherwise, the alloy surface will be corroded and damaged. Treat the inner and outer surfaces of the wheel with an acid-proof cleaner. Wax the wheel once every two months to extend its service life.

In order not to damage the protective layer of the wheel surface, paint brightener or other abrasive materials should not be used on the wheel. When the alloy protective paint is damaged, such as scratches caused by hard objects during driving, the alloy wheel should be repaired and repainted as soon as possible. This can be done at a professional repair station.

In addition, please note the following points:

1. Do not use detergents indiscriminately.

Maintaining the wheel is the same as maintaining the car. Many household detergents and dishwashing liquids commonly used on the market are too strong for the surface of the wheel due to their alkaline or acidic properties. They will cause chemical reactions on the surface of the wheel, causing it to lose its luster and affect its appearance. Be careful when using them. You can choose a little neutral soapy water to rinse.

2. Don't wash the wheel when it's hot.

When the wheel temperature is high, it should be washed after cooling. Never use cold water to cool it down, which will damage the wheel and even cause the brake disc to deform, affecting the braking effect.

3. Clean the wheel well.

A well-cleaned wheel should be cleaned with neutral soapy water and wiped with a soft cloth. After cleaning, the wheel hub surface should be coated with corrosion-resistant products to maintain the surface brightness. If the wheel is stuck with asphalt that is difficult to clean, if it does not work, you can use a detergent to remove it with a brush, but be careful to avoid using a hard brush, which can easily damage the wheel surface.
