Do you know anything about the wheel and tire comparison?
Dec 13, 2022
Since the use of tires of other specifications without replacing the wheel hub involves a concept of wheel hub J value, let's first understand the wheel J value.
The width of the rim is the J value of the hub, in feet.

For example, the rim J value corresponds to the tire width. Each rim J value corresponds to a standard tire width, but in addition, it can also be installed with a tire with a larger tire width or a tire with a smaller tire width. The selection criteria can be selected according to the above figure.
Taking the wheel with 7.5J rim width as an example, its corresponding standard tire width is 225, but it can also be installed with one tire with 235 tire width larger and one tire with 215 tire width smaller. If you want to install a larger or smaller tire width, you need to replace the wheel.
