More wheel modification parameters

We always hear the term "16-inch" and "17-inch" wheels. In fact, this refers to the diameter of the hub, which is an important parameter that determines the size of the hub. The larger the number, the larger the hub. When refitting, people always try to put on large wheels, but the bigger the better, the better, but to find the size of the wheel that suits your car.

In addition to the hub diameter, the hub also has a "width" parameter, which is commonly known as the "J value". The width of the wheel will directly affect the choice of tires. For wheels with the same diameter, wide tires cannot be installed on narrower wheels, and it will be very laborious to install narrower tires on wider wheels.

The PCD hole refers to the pitch circle diameter of the wheel hub bolt hole, expressed as "5x114.3", which means it has 5 bolt holes, and the pitch circle diameter of the bolt hole is 114.3mm. Some wheels will have two sets of PCD data, such as "10x100/114.3", which means there are 10 bolt holes in total, 5 of which have a pitch circle diameter of 100mm, and the other 5 holes have a pitch circle diameter of 114.3mm. PCD holes of this specification mostly appear on modified wheels. Normally, when selecting a wheel hub, the PCD specification must be exactly the same as the original specification wheel hub, otherwise it cannot be installed.

The center hole is the big hole in the middle of the wheel hub. If the center hole is larger than the original car, the wheel hub will shake during driving. Under normal circumstances, it is not recommended to use a hub with a center hole size that does not match. However, if you like this hub and it does not have a hub specifically designed for the model, you can adjust the diameter of the center hole with a center hole collar according to the actual situation.
