China's Automobile Export Will Break Through The 3 Million Vehicle Barrier, With An Annual Growth Of More Than 50%!

In this regard, Sun Xiaohong, the secretary-general of the Automobile Branch of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Mechanical and Electrical Products, predicted that in 2022, China's automobile exports would enter the 3 million mark, achieving the goal of 50% year-on-year growth.
In terms of export volume, according to the data of the China Automobile Association, from January to November, automobile enterprises exported 2.785 million vehicles, up 55.3% year on year. By model, 2.251 million passenger vehicles were exported, up 57.8% year on year, and 533000 commercial vehicles were exported, up 45.7% year on year. The export of new energy vehicles was 593000, a year-on-year increase of 1 times.

 

In terms of export enterprises, from January to November, the top ten automobile export enterprises were SAIC, Chery, Tesla, Chang'an, Dongfeng, Geely, Great Wall, BAIC, Jiangqi, and Heavy Duty Truck, respectively. In terms of growth rate, Geely exported 179000 vehicles, up 82.6% year on year; Chery exported 407000 vehicles, up 70.9% year on year; Dongfeng exported 220000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 68.2%.

 

In terms of export unit price, the export unit price of China's automobiles has also increased significantly, while the export of finished vehicles has grown rapidly. Data shows that from January to October, the unit price of China's finished vehicle export was 17800 dollars, up 9.8% year on year. "The structure of export models continues to optimize, and the proportion of new energy vehicles with higher unit prices in exports has increased, which is the main reason for the year-on-year increase in China's automobile export unit prices." Sun Xiaohong said.


In terms of export markets, Asia, Europe, and Latin America are currently the three major markets for China's automobile exports. Data shows that from January to October, Asia maintained its largest export market with 947700 vehicles, accounting for 36.2%; Europe took the first place in exports with US $16.897 billion, accounting for 36.2%. Specifically, Mexico, Chile, and Saudi Arabia rank in the top three; The top three export markets of new energy vehicles are Belgium, Britain, and Thailand.
