India's Primary Aluminum Production in April Increased By 1.5% Compared To The Previous Year.

Data from the Indian Ministry of Mines shows that in March 2025, India's iron ore production increased by 5.7% year-on-year, reaching 25.9 million tons; manganese ore production rose by 9.7%, reaching 390,000 tons; zinc concentrate production increased by 5.5%, reaching 190,000 tons.
Iron ore remains the backbone of India's mining economy, accounting for 70% of the total mining output. In the fiscal year 2024-25, India's iron ore production reached a record high of 289 million tons.

Preliminary data show that in April 2025 (the first month of the 2025-26 fiscal year), India's bauxite production increased by 13.9% to 213 million tons, compared with 187 million tons in the same period last year. The limestone production rose by 1.2% to 405 million tons; the lead-zinc ore production increased by 2.4% to 12.7 million tons; and the zinc concentrate production rose by 7.7% to 1.4 million tons.
In April, India's primary aluminum production increased by 1.5% year-on-year to 347,000 tons, while its refined copper production soared by 15.6% to 52,000 tons.
