The origin of Labor Day

Labor Day originated from the workers' strike movement in Chicago, USA, in 1886. On May 1, 1886, more than 200,000 workers in Chicago, USA, held a general strike to fight for the implementation of an eight-hour work system, and finally won. To commemorate the strike movement of American workers, on July 14, 1889, the National Socialist Congress (the Second International - Socialist International) was held in Paris, France.
