Porsche To Cut Another 5,000 Jobs in Germany

German automaker Porsche announced on local time 27 July that it will eliminate around 5,000 additional jobs in Germany by 2035. Together with the previously planned cut of roughly 3,900 positions, Porsche will slash a total of approximately 8,900 jobs in Germany.
The cuts will affect production plants and research and development centres in the Stuttgart region, home to Porsche's headquarters. Meanwhile, the company unveiled further cost-reduction measures, including a pay freeze for staff in the coming years, lower bonuses, and tighter linking of employee bonuses to corporate operating performance.
As of the end of 2025, Porsche employed about 20,600 people in the Stuttgart region of Germany, with a global workforce of around 41,800.
