The overall trend characteristics of aluminum prices in March

In early March (around March 4), driven by the escalation of the Middle East situation (blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and supply disruptions at aluminum plants in Qatar and Bahrain), aluminum prices surged rapidly.

For example:

The spot aluminum price on the Yangtze River rose by 440 yuan/ton in a single day, reaching 24,380 yuan/ton;
The Shanghai aluminum futures contract surged past 25,000 yuan per ton, hitting a historic high.
Mid-month (March 13–14): Prices fluctuated at high levels, with LME aluminum trading around $3,420–3,440/ton and SHFE futures contracts fluctuating within the range of 25,100–25,500 yuan/ton.

In the latter half of the month (March 18–24): A significant pullback occurred, primarily due to weak domestic demand, inventory pressure, and cooling macroeconomic sentiment.
