  • Selection of cutting tools for processing wheels

The end face of the wheel is the third sequence in its processing route. The machine tool for this process is a vertical lathe, and the processing tools are the shank and blade of the turning tool. When choosing the tools, one should think carefully and make a prudent selection, and then design a detailed plan. At the same time, suitable tools should be selected based on the bearing holes to avoid processing failures caused by insufficient tool shank length and tool tip angle as much as possible. Furthermore, it is advisable to opt for a more robust knife handle to prevent vibration patterns and blade tremors.

  • Program setting for processing wheel components

When programming, the CNC machine must be stopped from operating. Additionally, the position of the bearing holes must be carefully calculated to avoid any quality issues with the bearing holes. Moreover, when setting the tool position, interference issues and other problems need to be considered to prevent any tool collisions during the processing. Also, the speed of tool movement should not be too fast. Each tool involved in the processing needs to be debugged one by one to minimize the possibility of problems occurring.

Although the wheel is small, it has many important parameters. If these wheel parameters are not paid attention to, it will seriously affect the stability and safety of the car. Therefore, during the processing and later maintenance of the wheel, the wheel itself and its range must be given special attention. Generally speaking, the parameters of the wheel have five aspects, as follows:
The size usually refers to the diameter of the wheel. If the size of the wheel and the profile of the tire are both relatively large, the car will experience better handling and driving stability during travel. However, although it has a good grip, the corresponding tire noise will increase, and fuel consumption will also rise. The car itself will also increase accordingly.
Due to the limitation of the wheel width, the choice of car tires will also be subject to certain restrictions. Although the diameter of the wheel will be the same, the corresponding width of the tires will change due to the different widths of the wheels.

Generally, there are usually four bolt holes at the wheel center. The diameter of the circle formed by these holes is PCD, which is the pitch diameter. PCD is an important parameter of the wheel. If its design is reasonable and moderate, it can greatly improve the safety of the vehicle and the stability during driving.

Center hole. This indicator mainly refers to the center position of the wheel. It is required to have a certain coaxiality with the concentric circle position of the wheel. It must be noted that the tolerance of its diameter will also affect the deviation of the center hole.
