The Introduction Of Aluminum Alloy Motorcycle Wheel

The motorcycle wheel is one of the most important parts in the motorcycle, its quality directly affects the safety and reliability of the motorcycle. Early motorcycles had low speeds, rigid wheel structures, and high-pressure tires. With the development of tire and wheel technology, low pressure tires have gradually replaced high pressure tires. At the same time, low-pressure tires have appeared tubeless tires. At present, there are three main structural forms of motorcycle wheels: wheel and spoke combined wheel, spoke plate integral wheel and light alloy wheel. This issue focuses on light alloy wheels. Light alloy wheel is a kind of integral wheel, mainly aluminum alloy wheel and magnesium alloy wheel. At present, aluminum alloy wheels are the most common on the market.

Aluminum alloy wheels have the following features:

(1) Fast and safe heat dissipation. When the car is driving at high speed, the friction between the tire and the ground will produce a higher temperature, and the friction between the brake disc and the brake pad will produce a higher temperature. Under the action of such high temperature, the tire and the brake disc will accelerate the wear and aging, the brake efficiency will decrease, the tire pressure will increase, and it is easy to cause the accident of a flat tire and brake failure. The heat transfer coefficient of aluminum alloy is 3 times larger than that of steel, and the heat generated on the tire and brake disc can be rapidly transmitted to the air, avoiding the various ills caused by the wheel under high-speed operation, thus enhancing the braking efficiency, improving the service life of the tire and brake disc, and effectively ensuring the safe driving of the car.
(2) Lightweight and energy saving. The proportion of aluminum is smaller than that of steel, and the average aluminum alloy rim is about 2 kilograms lighter than the steel rim. A car can reduce its weight by 10 kilograms with 5 wheels (including a backup wheel). Less weight means less fuel.
(3) Good comfort. The aluminum alloy rim is a precision casting/forging part; the finished surface reaches 80% to 90%, the roundness and imbalance are very small, especially since the elastic modulus of aluminum alloy is small, the vibration resistance is good, which can reduce the body vibration during driving, and improve the comfort of the vehicle.
(4) Beautiful appearance. Various shapes can be customized according to customer requirements and different surface treatments, such as spraying, polishing, electroplating, anodizing, and so on.
