Will the aluminum alloy wheel rust if it is scratched all around?
Apr 03, 2023
Aluminum alloy wheels do not rust, but the scratches can't be removed; there's currently no good way to handle them.
Advantages of aluminum alloy wheels:
(1) Compared to steel automobile wheels, aluminum alloy wheels have obvious advantages: low density, about 1/3 of steel, which means that using aluminum alloy wheels with the same volume will be 2/3 lighter than steel wheels. Statistics show that the vehicle mass can be reduced by 10% and fuel efficiency can be improved by 6%~8%. Therefore, the promotion of aluminum alloy wheels is of great significance for energy conservation, emission reduction, and a low-carbon life.
(2) Aluminum has a high thermal conductivity, while steel has a low thermal conductivity. Therefore, under the same conditions, the heat dissipation performance of aluminum alloy wheels is better than that of steel wheels.
(3) Fashionable and beautiful. Aluminum alloy can be aged and strengthened. Aluminum alloy wheels that have not undergone aging treatment have low strength and are easy to process and form. Aluminum alloy wheels that have undergone corrosion resistance treatment and coating coloring have diverse colors, are exquisite, and beautiful.
