U.S. Steel Acquisition Deadline Postponed Again From End Of March To End Of June

On March 27, Nippon Steel announced that its planned acquisition of U.S. steel giant U.S. Steel would be postponed from January to March 2025 to April to June of the same year.

This move is based on ongoing discussions with the U.S. government regarding the acquisition program. The acquisition was originally scheduled to close at the end of December 2024, but was delayed to between January and March 2025 ahead of the closing date.
