The metal blank is compressed and deformed in the forging die with a certain shape to obtain the forging, because the forging produced under this process belongs to the mold shape, the product wall thickness is uniform, and the performance after heat treatment is the best, so the quality of the wheel formed by die forging is the best and the weight is the lightest. Simply speaking, the aluminum material is processed directly through forging to produce a rough shape, and finally, it only needs to be milled off some raw edges. BBS, RAYS, and other big Japanese brands are using this process.

Compared with the casting wheel, the advantages of the forged wheel are high strength, higher safety, strong plasticity, light weight, good heat dissipation, and fuel saving. The disadvantage is that the price is slightly higher and the production cycle is longer.
