The cubic capacity of a container mainly depends on its specifications and dimensions. The following are the volume information of several common standard containers:


20 foot container (GP): The content area is 5.69 meters x 2.13 meters x 2.18 meters, with a gross weight of approximately 17.5 tons and a volume of 24-26 cubic meters.


40 foot container (GP): The content area is 11.8 meters x 2.13 meters x 2.18 meters, with a gross weight of approximately 22 tons and a volume of 54 cubic meters.


40 foot high container (HQ): The content area is 11.8 meters x 2.13 meters x 2.72 meters, with a gross weight of approximately 22 tons and a volume of 68 cubic meters.


45 foot high container (HQ): The content area is 13.58 meters x 2.34 meters x 2.71 meters, with a gross weight of approximately 29 tons and a volume of 86 cubic meters.


20 foot open top container: The content area is 5.89 meters x 2.32 meters x 2.31 meters, with a gross weight of approximately 20 tons and a volume of 31.5 cubic meters.


40 foot open top container with a content area of 12.01 meters x 2.33 meters x 2.15 meters, a gross weight of approximately 30.4 tons, and a volume of 65 cubic meters.


20 foot flat bottomed container: The content area is 5.85 meters x 2.23 meters x 2.15 meters, with a gross weight of approximately 23 tons and a volume of 28 cubic meters.


40 foot flat bottomed container with a content area of 12.05 meters x 2.12 meters x 1.96 meters, a gross weight of approximately 36 tons, and a volume of 50 cubic meters.
